This beach and sand dunes view is just outside Nags Head, North Carolina, a good place for miles of very beautiful Atlantic Ocean beaches in the Outer Banks. They take great civic pride in keeping them that way, too, notice the erosion control fences.
This is a very unusual image being that it is a sunset shot of the Atlantic taken on the east coast...and just how, you ask? The sun is setting behind the camera position rather than in front of it over the water. I enjoy how it gives the sand and fence a deeper glow from the natural yellow light, and how the light skims across the ripples in the sand.
