I wonder if this beach bungalow is still standing after all the hurricanes that have come across the North Carolina coast since the photograph was made. I can also imagine it wasn't originally built this close to the water, but the beach itself has changed over time. Nevertheless, a great spot for a good long hang!
My favorite part of the image is the porch with the laundry blowing in the breeze that can spin off a story in the imagination, and the color of the house that matches the water. I was told by the locals the ocean will turn more green when the gulf stream water moves closer to the coast.
I think the title of Getaway is a good one, but this one was nearly rightfully called Margaritaville...
