Otterbein Church #00320
This gothic church is a nearly abandoned and unused sitting in an early Spring farm field far out in the country. This old building is well past it's heyday, but apparently it's as firmly rooted as the towering tree. Together on a hill, they are a strong landmark and a vision of permanence, a mainstay.
I visited this location a few times to photograph in various light, and each time a very old man living next door would come out and slowly walk up the hill to ask what I was doing there. He obviously looked after the place. Oddly enough, in his old age he never remembered me from one time to the next, but the grass was always cut.
